Exciting news!  7th Grade Camp will be 4 days this year (no overnights).  All of the details about dates, transportation, packing, etc. can be found below.  If you have specific questions regarding your students 7th Grade camp experience, please email Marianne Mutschler at mccamp@dexterschools.org.

Date(s):
September 13- Students Report to Mill Creek (normal school hours)
September 14-17- Students attend camp 8:30 am-6:00 pm
 
Required Forms
Transportation:
  • Students will leave Mill Creek via school bus at 8:30am.  Students should plan on arriving to Mill Creek at the normal time (8:14).  The students will check in with their team/anchor teacher before loading the bus.
  • Students will return to Mill Creek via school bus by approximately 6pm
If you are not comfortable with your student riding the bus, please fill out the transportation Google form linked below.  The form will let Ms. Mutschler know that it is your intention to drive your student to and from camp daily.
 
 
Cost:
  • $200
  • All Payments can be made via Eleyo
  • Payments due no later than 8/30 at noon
If you previously paid $110 for your students' camp experience, there is an option in Eleyo to pay the remaining balance ($90).  If you are unsure if you made a payment, please log into Eleyo and check your “Current and Upcoming Enrollments.”  You can also email Marianne Mutschler at mccamp@dexterschools.org.

Camp Volunteers
 
This year we will be taking a limited number of volunteers to help students move from one class to the next and to help supervise on the bus.  The volunteer positions will be filled on a first come basis.  Confirmation of volunteer placement will be sent once the volunteer form is received online.  
 
In order to volunteer, you must complete a district required volunteer form.  All volunteer forms are due no later than 8/30.  Volunteers who do not complete the paperwork by 8/30 are at risk of being replaced.  
 
 
School Provided Lunches for Camp
 
The wonderful staff with Food and Nutrition will be able to provide breakfast and lunch free of charge during the week of camp.  Students interested in taking advantage of the school provided meals will need to fill out a GOOGLE FORM the first week of school.  Please note, this is a separate form, not through Send Money to School.  The link will be sent out via email.
 
Students who do not elect to eat the school lunch will need to bring their own lunch to camp.  Students will also need to pack a couple nut free snacks and a water bottle.  Meal service will NOT be provided at camp.
 
Packing List
  • Backpack/Cinch Sack
  • Pants & Closed toes shoes for horseback riding (Students will not be allowed to ride without these items)
  • A change of clothes (students MAY get wet during one of the activities)
  • A Water Bottle
  • Lunch
  • Snacks
  • Sunscreen
  • Bug Spray
  • Masks for indoor activities 
 
Medication at Camp
 
Students should NOT pack medication unless it is a prescription medication that they must take during camp hours OR it is rescue medication (ie. inhaler, epipen, diabetic supplies, etc.).  Once students arrive at camp, all prescription medication must be handed to a Mill Creek staff member.  
 
The Mill Creek staff will have a first aid kit with OTC medication if the need should arise.  All OTC medication that we will have on hand are listed on the student health form.  You will sign, giving permission for Mill Creek staff to give your student select medication.
