Seventh Grade Camp

For the fall of 2024 we are planning for another 7th Grade Camp, full week experience with overnights.  All of the details about dates, transportation, packing, etc. can be found below.  If you have specific questions regarding your students 7th Grade camp experience, please email Marianne Mutschler at

Date(s): September 9-13- Students attend camp

Monday September 9: Students must arrive to Mill Creek no later than 8:30am.  There will be a luggage truck waiting out front of Mill Creek.  All students must load their luggage onto the truck before going to their anchor classroom.  Students will wait in their anchor classroom for the buses to come and pick them up for camp (approx. 9am).  Students should not plan on riding the bus to school due to their luggage.  Parents are not permitted to walk with their student to their classroom.  

Friday September 13- Students will be back at Mill Creek at approximately 2pm.  Parents/guardians should plan on picking up their student and their luggage when they arrive.  You can arrange for another parent to pick your student up if necessary.

**Early Payment Incentive: If you pay your students 7th grade camp fee in full between May 1 and May 31, you will save $25. Making the total cost of camp $250.

Camp Volunteers
Each year we need over 100 parent volunteers to make camp possible.  The different volunteer positions that need to be filled are listed below.  Please consider signing up for one (or more) positions to help make camp possible.
  • Overnight Chaperones (Full Week, Monday-Wednesday or Wednesday to Friday)
  • Day Volunteers (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 9am-4pm)
  • Evening Volunteers (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 6pm-9pm)
  • Bus Volunteers (Monday 9/11 at  9am and Friday 9/15 at 11am)
  • Mill Creek Morning Chaperones (Monday 9/11 at 7:45am)
In order to volunteer, you must complete a district required volunteer form.  All volunteer forms are due no later than 8/18.  Volunteers who do not complete the paperwork by 8/18 are at risk of being replaced.

Medication at Camp
Students should NOT pack medication unless it is rescue medication (ie. inhaler, epipen, diabetic supplies, etc.).  Once students arrive at camp, all medication must be handed to a Mill Creek staff member.  For students who require daily medication, there will be an opportunity to come to Mill Creek, meet with Ms. Mutschler, and pack your students meds for the week.  As needed medication does not need to be packed, as the Mill Creek staff will have a first aid kit with OTC medication if the need should arise.  All OTC medication that we will have on hand are listed on the student health form.  You will sign, giving permission for Mill Creek staff to give your student select medication.
